All kitchen tool surfaces are finished with a food-safe mineral oil and beeswax mixture. They can be easily maintained and will gain a sweet patina with use. Boards arrive oiled and ready to use. To clean, simply wipe with cloth and warm soapy water and dry with towel. Never submerge in water or put in dishwasher. Generously oil your boards every few weeks or more if desired to keep it looking and functioning great for at least a lifetime.
